Flesh & Buns installs direct drinks trolley buttons

Bone Daddies' Japanese Izakaya restaurant brand, Flesh & Buns has partnered with Call Systems Technology (CST), the UK’s leading supplier of communication technology to the hospitality industry, to continue to drive excellent customer service at its flagship Fitzrovia site.

Utilising CST’s Gen2 software, the installation of bespoke call buttons will allow Flesh & Buns customers to call for drinks directly from the Pisco Sours table, improving wait times and enabling the front-of-house team to upsell its hero products. When the call button is pressed, an alert will show up on the corresponding drinks trolley to enable teams to assist with a drinks request swiftly.

CST’s Gen2 is a software solution that controls and monitors a venue’s entire messaging and alarm operation. As a technology hub, Gen2 can send and receive messages and alerts, whilst unifying all communication across a restaurant and simplifying operations.

Eloise Sheppard, Managing Director, CST, commented, “In a busy, atmospheric restaurant it can be tricky for customers to immediately catch the attention of passing front-of-house teams when looking to order additional drinks. Through our customised call buttons, the Flesh & Buns team are able to improve speed of service, whilst helping to drive additional revenue for the business.”

Emilie Raynal, General Manager of Flesh & Buns, said, “The new call button technology in our Fitzrovia site is helping to transform the customer experience, as well as helping increase total drinks sales. Since installing the call buttons, we have seen sales of Pisco Sours greatly increase. We continue to monitor the results, which are excellent, and look forward to potentially rolling out the technology at our Covent Garden and future sites.”
