Jurys Inn & Leonardo Hotels named Best Hotel Group

Jurys Inn and Leonardo Hotels UK and Ireland has announced the brand has been awarded Best Hotel Group at the Conference and Hospitality Show (CHS) Awards 2019.

The fifth annual CHS Awards recognise the best of the UK hospitality and events industry and were judged by an independent panel of 70 event professionals, all experts in their chosen field.

The glittering award ceremony was attended by 400 industry insiders at the Royal Armouries in Leeds. Representing Jurys Inn and Leonardo Hotels were; Sharon Jezeph, Sales Manager MICE, Simon Rigby, Account Development Director – Meetings & Events, and Jamie Taylor, Director of Business Development at Jurys Inn Hinckley Island Hotel & Conference Venue, who were proud to accept the award on behalf of the brand.

The news comes after an exciting period of expansion for the brand. Most recently, Jurys Inn and Leonardo Hotels opened the doors to four new hotels in Central London. The four properties, formerly Grange Hotels, are superbly located in central London and add 1,300 rooms to the growing Jurys Inn and Leonardo group.

News of the London launch follows the group’s high-profile purchase of the iconic Midland Hotel in Manchester in 2018 and the Grand Harbour hotel in Southampton in early 2019.

The group has also announced the acquisition of a site on Adair Street in Manchester, a prominent site in Bristol Glassfields and plans to extend the existing Jurys Inn Edinburgh and create an adjacent 131-room property under the NYX Hotels by Leonardo Hotels brand.

Jason Carruthers, Managing Director of Jurys Inn and Leonardo Hotels UK and Ireland said, “We’re incredibly proud of the Jurys Inn and Leonardo Hotels offering and to be recognised as Best Hotel Group by our peers in the hospitality industry means a great deal.

'An honour like this is testament to the hard work of our staff across the UK and Ireland and we’re excited for our brand’s continued growth as we strengthen our position in the UK.”
