The 7th London Craft Beer Festival runs from 9-11 August and after last year’s huge success, is once again dedicating the opening session to trade professionals from the brewery, pubs, restaurant and hotel sector. This year’s Trade Session will run from 11.30am to 4.30pm on Friday 9 August
A line-up of over 80 independent breweries from around the world has been carefully chosen to represent the creativity and entrepreneurialism that is rife in modern brewing. Around 500 different beers will be on show over the weekend to stretch the most sophisticated taste buds with some intriguing collaborations and modern twists on traditional styles.
The Festival also showcases rising stars on the modern brewing scene such as:
Mothership: winners of this year’s Raise The Bar best new brewery competition, women brewing beers that will appeal to women as well a broader following of beer lovers
Bohem: Czechs brewing beer the traditional Czech way in the heart of London are wining plaudits well beyond the capital
Boxcar: who have everyone asking how their beer styles will evolve as they their original nano brewing kit is replaced by a larger brewery but still with a small batch focus
Broaden & Build: the new brewery from the world-renowned Copenhagen restaurant. Reflecting their zero-waste ethos and Matt Orlando’s innovative approach to flavour demonstrates how a chef’s perspective can translate into beer with a focus on fermentation and foraging. Beers from the new project will arriving on UK shores for the first time, exclusively for the festival.
Festival goers will be also be treated to live entertainment from the likes of Two Door Cinema Club, Hot Chip and Toddla T along with DJ sets from the Kaiser Chiefs, and Friendly Fires. Topping this off, a selection of London’s top restaurants including Berber & Q, Club Mexicana, Hoppers, Brigadiers, The Palomar and Bun House will join the line-up to make this a weekend not to be missed.
