Chef Hus Vedat to open Barboun in December

Chef Hus Vedat is set to open Barboun, an Eastern Mediterranean restaurant, next month in London's Shoreditch.

The new eatery's menu is inspired by the flavours of Levantine coastal towns, focusing on fish and vegetables, cooked over open flames.

Barboun, which means red mullet in Turkish (pronounced bar-boon), will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and will also offer a grab-and-go delicatessen.

Vedat, who closed his restaurant Yosma in Baker Street in January, has set up Barboun with his protégé, Fez Ozalga.

Yosma was going to reopen in Soho this summer but that has yet to open.
