BrewDog delivers update for Equity Punk investors

Co-founder of BrewDog, James Watt has sent a message to its Equity Punks giving an update on what the firm is doing during this crisis.

'First, our Punk hand sanitiser has now been delivered to the Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. We will also be dropping off stock to NHS Grampian, Aberlour, a charity working across Scotland to support vulnerable families, and The Archie Foundation, which provides parent accommodation at Aberdeen Children’s Hospital. We will carry on dedicating resources to this for as long as it is required.

Second, in terms of our teams, everyone who can work remotely is now doing so. Our offices are closed to non-essential workers, and we have increased safety measures at the brewery to ensure our crew remaining on site are doing so in the most appropriate environment. We will continue to review this, and make changes and improvements wherever needed as the days and weeks go on.

'Third, in terms of our Equity Punk discounts, you will know that we took the very difficult decision to suspend discounts to ensure the online shop is profitable over this challenging period. We’ve been overwhelmed by the support you’ve all shown us and want to bring forward some changes that were in discussion. This reinstates discounts for all EFPs immediately in the new format.

'Overall, we have reduced the price of the entire range, with headliners now available for 5% less on average and the rest of the range now around 10% less. This not only makes the beers you love more affordable but aligns our pricing with the market, allowing the online business to grow.'
