Selfridges London Foodhall reopens

To help serve the local community, the Foodhall at Selfridges London has reopened, with opening hours set at 10am–6pm Monday–Saturday and 11am–5pm Sunday.

Access to the Foodhall is available via the Orchard Street entrance. The rest of the store, including the restaurants, will remain closed until further notice.

The Foodhall is stocking a selection of fresh fruit and vegetables, meat, fish, baked goods, pharmacy items and household products. There are also meal boxes including meat, fish and seasonal fruit & veg and Make-Your-Own kits (think bread, banana loaf and tacos).

Customers can place orders over the phone and arrange collection or contact-free delivery via Selfridges-yellow electric van.

The priority is to keep both customers and team members safe, with social distancing rules – including a one-way system – put in place throughout the Foodhall, in line with government guidelines. There are hand sanitiser stations throughout the space, screens at till points and a limited number of customers in store at any one time.

NHS, health and social care workers have priority access to both the store and checkouts, and can use the car park for free. Leftover food will be donated across three charities: City Harvest, The Little Things and Heroes+.

Selfrisges is also continuing its #kindnesschallenge by inviting Foodhall customers to nominate someone who has carried out an act of kindness to be in with a chance of winning a fridge full of food. And, as part of the ‘Fullfridges’ initiative, each week a Foodhall team member will receive a fridge full of food to recognise their contribution and service.
