Spar awarded five medals in International Spirits Challenge

Spar, the UK’s leading convenience store group, has been awarded three Silver medals and two Bronze medals for its high quality own label spirit lines at this year’s 25th International Spirits Challenge (ISC), picking up the accolade alongside a host of leading brands.

Spar Premium London Dry Gin 70cl, Spar Premium French Grain Vodka and Spar Imperial Vodka were recognised in the category challenges and each received Silver medals. SPAR Premium Rhubarb and Ginger Gin and Spar Original London Dry Gin took Bronze medals.

Adam Georgiou, Spar Brand Manager, said, “We are extremely proud of these awards especially considering the fantastic quality of brands our own label spirits were up against in the competition.

“We are always looking to offer our SPAR retailers a point of difference from our spirits own label range and it’s great to see these five lines recognised. We know they will help drive excitement in stores by offering customers choice at all price-points.

“The ISC provides an independent reference point for our customers, which reinforces our belief that these five medal winners are not only great value but also great quality spirits,” he said.

“Our hand-crafted premium gin and vodka lines are exceptionally high quality and offer customers great value for money. The Spar Premium French Grain Vodka is exceptionally smooth with a clean taste while our Spar Premium London Dry Gin has refreshing citrus notes,” added Georgiou.

Spar will be supporting the ISC award-winners in-store with digital marketing activity and POS from 9 November until 6 December 2020.
