WatchHouse appoints former Eat CEO & Pret MD as director


Coffee shop chain and coffee merchant, WatchHouse has today announced that Andrew Walker will join the board as a non-executive director.

Formerly the chief executive of Eat and UK managing director of Pret, Walker will help advise the WatchHouse board, including CEO and founder Roland Horne, as it expands across London over the next year.

In addition to Pret & Eat, Walker has previously worked at executive levels within Virgin Atlantic, Casual Dining Group and Platopus Systems. He is currently an advisor at fintech company Flux, as well as a non-executive director at Java House Africa and Farmer J. Walker will join the WatchHouse board from 1 April 2021.

Founded by Roland Horne, WatchHouse began in a former 19th century watch house at the end of Bermondsey Street in 2014 and has since opened six Houses within central London.

Underpinning them all is a belief in Modern Coffee; encompassing industry-leading specialty coffee, authentic homemade food, community-focused service and beautifully designed spaces, each inspired by their locations.
