Le Pain Quotidien launches made-to-order picnic boxes delivered to parks

This summer, Le Pain Quotidien bakery presents its take on a very British pastime: introducing the deliciously loaded, made-to-order Picnic Boxes.

Available to takeaway from the bakeries or by delivery straight to the park, the new offering contains everything needed to indulge in a spontaneous, alfresco feast.

Throughout the summer from now, the ‘Picnic in One Click’ boxes can be instantly ordered to any public place through Deliveroo or by simply scanning the QR code from another diner’s box.

Priced at £38, the Picnic Box is full to the brim with freshly-made salads, sandwiches, dips, daily bread, patisserie items, cold-pressed juices, and all the necessary cutlery, plates and drinkware. Supplementary items include ice cold bottles of Prosecco, wine, and beer.

Everything provided is completely recyclable or compostable, and the menu is designed to be shared by two. Including a range of vegan options, the bespoke boxes offer a choice of:

1 Dip with Toasted Bread (choose from): Guacamole, Red Pepper Hummus, Babaganoush, Mint Pea Hummus
2 Patisserie (choose from): Carrot Cake, Lemon Tart, Strawberry Tart, Meringue & Seasonal Fruit, Chocolate Brownie
2 Cold Pressed Juices (choose from): Orange, Apple, Watermelon & Pineapple, Beets & Ginger, Green & Goji, Carrot & Ginger

Whether out exploring the iconic sights of London or wanting a romantic meal in the park, this is the perfect way to skip the hassle of booking a table and have lunch brought right to you, anywhere, anytime. It’s also an easy, take-home meal when the weather turns.

Prepared in- house at local bakeries, the picnic box is a fun way to sample a variety of dishes from Le Pain Quotidien’s recently launched new menu offering.

Jana Somon, Head of Marketing UK, said, “This summer, as we come out of lockdown, we know that making social plans can seem overwhelming. We’re encouraging Londoners to reunite with friends and embrace the beautiful green spaces throughout the city, and our no-prep required Picnic Boxes can provide an effortless, safe option.”
