Profitroom celebrates Hotel 360 Expo award win for innovation


Profitroom, a provider of hotel technology, is in celebratory mood having won the ‘Hotel Innovation Award’ at this year’s Hotel 360 Expo — marking a successful year in a turbulent hospitality climate with a prestigious award win.

The Hotel 360 expo, which was held at London’s ExCeL on the 28th and 29th September, seeks to connect hospitality professionals with key solutions, services and innovations that can enhance their business – with the awards incorporated as part of the event.

Profitroom, which delivers award-winning services to the hospitality industry in a bid to drive direct bookings for hotels, was recognised for its comprehensive tech solutions that have supported over 3,500 hotels worldwide throughout the pandemic and the subsequent busy summer period.

The Hotel Innovation Award acknowledges hospitality brands that have demonstrated outstanding quality, functionality and innovation to help hotels. Profitroom was commended for its ability to bring new life to the everyday running of hotels, with its innovative tech set to serve hotels for years to come.

One of the innovations favoured by Profitroom users was the ability to automatically issue vouchers for cancelled bookings in lieu of a refund. This protected hoteliers cash flows but also made the rebooking journey less of a strain on hotel teams.

As Profitroom also boasts an online gift voucher platform, fully integrated with the booking engine, the guest could use their voucher to book their future stay online themself – thereby removing the need of a reservations team, who, at the time, were mostly on furlough.
