Levy partners with Dipna Anand for bespoke range of Punjabi food

Levy UK+I, the sports and hospitality sector of Compass Group UK and Ireland, has today announced a partnership with Dipna Anand, co-owner of award-winning Brilliant Restaurant and winner of the Personality of the Year award at The British Curry Awards in 2012.

Having already supported Levy UK+I in cooking for the Indian cricket team during the England vs India test series at the Kia Oval, will be expanding her offering to its partner venues up and down the country.

For the partnership, Dipna has created a bespoke range of Punjabi food to wow guests across Levy’s retail and hospitality offer.

These dishes include a Jeera Chicken Crushed Paratha, consisting of spiced black pepper and cumin chicken thigh pieces served inside of a crushed paratha and a plant-forward thinking Vada Pav, created with a deep-fried spiced potato burger flavoured with mustard and curry leaves with a dollop of tamarind chutney.

Having opened her own cookery school based at the Brilliant Restaurant, Dipna will now additionally pass on her skills and expertise to the Levy UK+I culinary team, with chef training and development sessions across its venues.

Dipna will also play an active role in Compass Group’s Women in Food initiative, which aims to create a more inclusive culture in and out of the kitchen - attracting, retaining and developing female talent, and driving greater representation across all levels.

Dipna’s love of food steams from three generations of chefs that have run The Brilliant Restaurant and have continued to produce award-winning, truly authentic food for over 40 years.

Along with teaching and co-owning The Brilliant Restaurant, Dipna is the author of two bestselling cook-books – Beyond Brilliant: Inspired Indian Cooking and Dip In Brilliant: An Indian Recipe Adventure with a Contemporary Twist - must haves for any lovers of Indian food.

To reach as many guests as possible Levy and Dipna have invested in a new food truck to deliver the offer to venues across the country. The truck will allow guests to experience Dipna’s award-winning and truly authentic food and to be served by the chef herself.

Dipna Anand said: “For me, family is everything. With many of Brilliant Restaurant’s original recipes dating back over 70 years to my grandfather, this partnership with Levy UK+I is an amazing opportunity to bring my family’s food to a much wider audience, showcasing the delicious and innovative recipes that we have created and perfected over the generations.

'Levy UK+I’s passion and commitment to providing legendary food experiences is something I have seen first-hand and has resonated with me – I’m thrilled to be playing a role in making exciting matchdays and events even better for fans.”
