Pret launches Made Simple value range & baguette deal

Pret A Manger today announces a brand new savings deal on its famous freshly made baguettes and the expansion of its ‘Made Simple’ value range, as part of its 2023 menu launch.

This month, customers will be able to buy any full-size baguette with Pret’s famous crisps or popcorn for just £5, with favourites such as Chicken Caesar & Bacon, Pole & Line Caught Tuna and Posh Cheddar & Pickle all included. The deal is available now and runs throughout January, allowing people to enjoy lunch at Pret for £5.

In addition to the baguette offer, Pret is expanding its value range – Made Simple – to include eight freshly made sandwiches starting from just £2.99 in the vast majority of shops, supporting customers with the cost-of-living.

Following a successful trial last summer, the expanded range includes customer favourite BLT returning alongside new additions like the Chicken Salad, Ham Salad, and Humous and Veg sandwiches which will be added to Pret’s menu.

Alongside the expanded Made Simple range, Pret’s new 2023 menu includes four new vegan products for Veganuary.

For the first time ever, Pret will be using a vegan ‘cheeze’ from VioLife in two of its products: Spicy No'Duja Toasted Focaccia, – a rosemary focaccia filled with red pesto, mushroom No'duja, smoky vegan cheeze, red pepper and fresh basil leaves, all ready to be toasted by Pret’s chefs - and the Plant Ploughman’s Baguette – Smoky vegan cheeze, with spicy chipotle ketchup and pret pickle chutney, which is then finished with roasted tomatoes, sliced red onion and salad mix.

The new PLT sandwich (aka plant, lettuce, tomato), made with roasted shiitake and chestnut mushroom rashers, salad and a dollop of vegan black pepper and parsley mayo, and Spicy No'Duja and Tomato Macaroni - which is made up of tubetti Rigati pasta with spinach, roasted tomatoes, a spicy red pepper sauce and red pesto and is then topped with mushroom No'Duja and a sprinkling of panko breadcrumbs.

Customers looking for high-protein options can enjoy Pret’s new Bacon & Egg Breakfast Beans Box or Halloumi & Egg Breakfast Beans Box in the morning.

For lunch, the new Chicken & Avo Protein box – made with British chicken slices, chopped boiled free range eggs, sliced avocado, soya edamame beans, spinach and a lemon wedge, and is finished with a French dressing and sesame seeds.

Joining Pret’s beloved soup range includes a lighter and fragrant Spicy Lemongrass Chicken Broth, made up of a spicy chilli and lemongrass broth, with chicken, carrots, peppers, spring onions, tamari soy sauce and fish sauce, finished with coriander and lime juice. Last but not least, a fan favourite Chicken Pesto Wrap re-joins the line-up.

Pret’s new plastic-free gum supplied by Milliways will also be available at shops from 10th January, when the 2023 menu launches.

Guy Meakin, Interim UK Managing Director at Pret, said, “At Pret, we’re committed to continuously innovating our menu in response to customers’ needs.

'With the cost-of-living crisis impacting people across the country, this year we wanted to introduce new products and deals that give customers more choice and value for money, whilst ensuring our fresh food and delicious tasting products are not compromised.
