Tennent Caledonian Breweries owner, C&C Group has bought the remaining 50% stake in Wallaces Express, the Ayrshire-based wines and spirits wholesaler.
Wallaces Express is Scotland’s largest independent Wine and Spirit Wholesaler supplying the licensed trade throughout much of Central Scotland, the South West, the Borders and Cumbria. The firm, which currently employs 296 people, will be re-branded as Wallaces TCB.
Dublin-based C&C Group acquired a 50% in Wallaces last year as it looked to build on its presence in the Scottish on-trade drinks market. C&C said the acquisition will see it “offer enhanced service and increased value for the independent on-trade across Scotland”.
