Pennyhill Park Hotel & Spa in Bagshot, Surrey is to invest £1.1m in the refurbishment and will reopen next month.
The plans include a three-level dry sauna experience (pictured) which will offer a cedar and glass sauna room, an adjacent cooling off area and drench bucket. Dröm UK is installing the thermal zone.
Other upgrades are set for the ice igloo, Osmanian chamber, and herbal saunas. The 3,500sq ft gym’s equipment is being replaced.
The England Rugby World Cup squad will be taking up residency at the 123-bed hotel in the Autumn.
The spa, which opened in 2003, offers 21 treatment rooms, six nail stations, two swimming pools, four warm spa pools one hydrotherapy pool, nine thermal cabins, two foot spas and an alfresco decking area with 200 loungers.
