Simon Rogan to leave Claridges to focus on own restaurant group

Simon Rogan is set to leave the Fera restaurant at London's Claridges at the end of this month to focus on his own restaurant group and to look for a new location for his pop-up Roganic, which he ran in Marylebone for two years.

Rogan launched the restaurant in May 2014 on a 10-year management agreement, with a five-year break clause.

Rogan said, “It’s been a pleasure working with Claridge’s for a successful and enjoyable three years, and as the time has come to move on, we do so with excitement for the future and grateful for our time at Fera.”

Claridge’s general manager Paul Jackson said, “We have had three very successful and creative years working with Simon and his talented team at Fera. We would particularly like to thank them for all their hard work and inspiration in keeping Claridge’s at the forefront of the London culinary world. We wish Simon all the best for his exciting future plans.”

Fera at Claridges will continue, but will be run by Rogan's protégé, Head Chef Matt Starling.
