Expanding coffee shop and cocktail chain, Mettricks has secured a fifth branch at Woolston Waterside, part of the £500m Centenary Quay development in Southampton, through Savills.
The company, which has just been awarded Southampton Business of The Year, has agreed a new 20-year lease for the 2,793 sq ft units, which is one of 12 new leisure sites being developed at Woolston Waterside.
Centenary Quay will be a new neighbourhood featuring 1,620 residential dwellings and 78,000 sq ft of retail and leisure space, as well as a day nursery and library.
The Woolston Waterside site will join Mettricks' other Southampton-based outlets in Old Town, Bargate and Guildhall Square quarters of the city, as well as one in Beaulieu, New Forest.
Spencer Bowman, founder and managing director of Mettricks, said, 'We are thrilled to be opening our fifth site over looking the River Itchen and city here at Woolston Waterside.
'Crest Nicholson’s Centenary Quay is one of the largest and most exciting waterfront redevelopments in the city at the moment and Mettricks looks forward to bringing better speciality coffee, fresh and tasty food, cocktails, wines and beers to Woolston.'
Piers Cook of the licensed leisure team at Savills said, 'We are pleased to have secured this deal with Mettricks, an ambitious independent hospitality company and the first operator to sign up for the new Woolston Waterside development. A number of the other leisure units are now under offer and we look forward to announcing further details in due course.'
