Superbowl UK to invest £1.8m in 9th bowling & entertainment complex

Superbowl UK is to open its ninth bowling and family entertainment complex within a new leisure and retail development in St Helens, Merseyside, which will create 35 jobs.

The company plans to invest more than £1.8m on a fit out for 24,000 sq ft Superbowl UK St Helens site in the Linkway West 10 scheme, and plans to open the site in Spring 2018.

The new facility will provide 12 state-of-the-art Ten-Pin Bowling Lanes, Crazy Club Soft Play Centre, Formidable 'Ninja Warrior' trampoline style assault course, Amusement Arcade area along with a stylish food diner and boutique lounge sports bar.

The company is led by Director Kate Quaintance-Blackford who said: 'Superbowl UK St Helens presents us with an opportunity to bring our distinctive brand of family entertainment into Merseyside, where we believe it will prove extremely popular. We have been extremely encouraged by the enthusiastic response to our nearby Widnes centre, and are delighted to be able to expand our presence within the locality.

'We are one of very few companies in the UK offering all of these facilities under one roof and, because of that, we're very confident about the success of the new site here in St Helens.'

The new leisure complex will join supermarket giant Aldi and coffee chain Costa Coffee on the development. The site occupies a prominent location within the town centre, having a dual frontage to the main inner ring road dual carriageway, reinforcing its position as an entertainment hot spot for the leisure development.
