£6m landmark London site acquired by leading hotel developers

Starboard Hotels and Citrus Group announce the acquisition of a site at Connell Crescent Park Royal, which has planning to build a new 146 bedroom Hampton by Hilton hotel.

The two businesses have come together to purchase the site with its listed facade and are expected to start construction later this year, with the hotel opening in the spring of 2019.

The site, which was marketed by CBRE for offers in excess of £6m, is close to Park Royal Business Park, with excellent connectivity to central London, Wembley Stadium, Heathrow Airport and Chiswick Business Park.

Paul Callingham, managing director of Starboard Hotels and Anton Curtis, managing director of Citrus Group have been partners for over 30 years, and are pleased to announce their first joint acquisition in 12 years.

Starboard have signed a franchise agreement with Hilton to operate the hotel under the Hampton brand. This will be Starboard’s first Hilton franchise to add to the 13 branded hotels that the company owns and operates throughout the UK.

Paul Callingham said, 'We are thrilled to have acquired our first London hotel site and look forward to working with Hilton on this exciting project. The location of the hotel is excellent, being next to Park Royal underground whilst close to, Hangar Lane, Crossrail and the pro- posed HS2 terminus at Old Oak Common.'
