£30m luxury hotel resort planned for County Antrim

Causeway Coast Developments is to submit plans to build a £30m hotel complex in Portrush, County Antrim by 2019.

The luxury 120-bed hotel will feature stunning view over Royal Portrush Golf Club towards the Giants Causeway, and the distant hills of Donegal on the Inishowen Peninsula.

The 10-acre site scheme will include conference facilities and a spa, as well as guest suites/lodges. It will create 300 jobs during construction and 250 permanent posts on completion.

The company aims to push the project through in time for 148th The Open teeing off in the north coast town in little over two years' time.

Parent company ARC, which is based in Austin, Texas, is headed up by Gavin Boyd, who is originally County Derry.
