The Wigmore opens today on Regent Street

The Wigmore, a deluxe re-imagining of the Great British pub, has opened today on London's Regent Street.

The food menu, overseen by Michel Roux Jr, defines quintessential British pub fare, using seasonal ingredients from producers that are leaders in their field, which are simply prepared and sympathetically cooked with a keen attention to detail.

For smaller bites there's upmarket versions of cheese toasties, and buttered crumpets with steamed cock crab. Main dishes include ox cheek and ale pie served with brown sauce. The chips with Bloody Mary salt, and the cured meats come from Cannon and Cannon.

There is a carefully created drinks list from the team behind Artesian, including great wines, cask ales and craft beers including The Wigmore’s very own house 'Saison', brewed in partnership with Bermondsey’s 'Brew by Numbers'.

The former banking hall has been transformed by internationally acclaimed Martin Brudnizki Design Studio, capturing and enhancing the original features of the space.

Two separate, semi-private areas have been incorporated into the space available for private bookings, ideal for groups and special occasions. The Snug seats up to 25 guests, and The Green Room seats up to 40 guests.
