New Hackney casual dining eatery & bar opens


Luxury outlet district, Hackney Walk has welcomed a new East London casual dining restaurant and bar, Silver Lining, to its Morning Lane line-up.

From the owners of neighbourhood cocktail bar Every Cloud, Silver Lining offers a seasonal menu of rotating small plates such as Jerk Glazed Fried Chicken, plantain & pommes boulangère & mango, papaya hot sauce (pictured), and Charred Aubergine with a creamy walnut za’atar, pickled turmeric & chive.

The short dessert menu offers Sour Cherry and Cumin Crème Brûlée, and Cardamom White Chocolate Fudge, Strawberry Purée, Mint Oil Powder & Mojito Kiwis.

Evening dining will be the focus of Silver Lining, however it will be expanding to brunch on weekends and coffee in the mornings.

Dishes are complemented by a focused drink offering of Classic and Natural wines, beers and pre-batched or draft aperitifs by Every Cloud.

Silver Lining is a welcome addition to the food and beverage offering at Hackney Walk joining Magnus Reid’s restaurant Legs and brunch spot Farley Macallan.
