Hotel du Vin Newcastle opens new bistro following makeover

Hotel du Vin Newcastle on the city’s Quayside has opened a new bistro following an extensive refurbishment.

The new bistro concept, which reflect the sites nautical heritage, has been created by Newcastle interior designers Dakota House of Design.

General manager Adam Green said, 'We are thrilled with the new design; it perfectly blends our brand's culture with the rich history that surrounds us on the Quayside.'

He added, 'Our diners come to us for the fantastic food and drink we have to offer and the beautiful new Bistro setting will complement the whole dining experience.'

Director of Dakota House of Design, Peter Hodgson said, 'This was a challenging brief for us as we wanted to make some quite significant changes without affecting the classic French bistro, atmospheric environment that Bistro du Vin is renowned for.'

' The key was to move it forward whilst protecting its individual identity.'
