Blakemore Wholesale relaunches Wolverhampton Cash & Carry depot

AF Blakemore's wholesale division, which the firm has now denied it's considering selling, has relaunched its Wolverhampton Cash & Carry depot as part of a company-wide strategic plan to reposition its depots nationwide.

The layout of the Blakemore Whoelsale depot has been improved to better satisfy customer shopping missions by reducing unwanted stock and providing a new more focused range that includes 10,000 ambient, chilled, fresh and frozen lines.

Extended fine foods, fresh meat and food catering ranges which include 300 new grocery products have been introduced.

Blakemore Wholesale Managing Director, James Russell explained, “The relaunch of Wolverhampton Cash & Carry is part of a scheme to update Blakemore Wholesale depots throughout the country and ensure their continued relevance in the wholesale market.

“The business has carried out this relaunch in response to customer feedback and category insight from our suppliers and is in support of our three strategic pillars: customer, supplier and efficiency.

“We believe that the new depot layout will make it easier for customers to find categories and products, focus on best sellers and ultimately achieve the optimum core range.”
