National wholesaler JJ Food Service has become the first UK grocery and foodservice wholesaler to launch a One Tap Payment option for online orders placed via the JJ App.
JJ Food Service COO, Mushtaque Ahmed, said, “Convenience and speed are absolutely key to our customers. With more than 50% of our online orders now coming via a mobile device, One Tap Pay will make online shopping at JJ Food Service faster than ever before.”
One Tap Pay works by using details that have been captured via the JJ App by a Card Scanner and stored in the system to allow customers to checkout instantly. Multiple card details can be saved at any one time. “This means that customers do not need to manually type in credit card information, saving time and improving accuracy”, said Mushtaque.
The One Tap Payment feature follows the recent announcement of JJ’s new Fingerprint ID, which enables instant authentication for App users, and Card Scanning, which allows App customers to automatically scan in card details.
“As a result of these three developments, we have reduced the time taken to place an online order by a minimum of 30%” said Mushtaque. Following the new developments, the JJ App has hit a record of more than 25,000 downloads.
The JJ Food Service App is available via Google Play and iTunes.
