Jurys Inn Manchester unveils £2.9m new look

Jurys Inn Manchester today unveils its brand new look following an extensive £2.9m transformation, which comes with stylish new bedrooms, an open plan new lobby with connectivity area, Costa coffee bar and a brand new bar and restaurant, Oddsocks Bar & Kitchen.

Oddsocks Bar & Kitchen offers an extensive and exciting menu for every mealtime including signature burgers and cocktails– perfect for those looking for great tasting, home comforts.

All 265 of Jurys Inn Manchester’s stylish new bedrooms, including 13 executive bedrooms, have undergone a complete transformation. Bright and inviting, each room comes fully equipped with free high speed WiFi, a spacious en-suite bathroom, a 42 inch flat screen TV with Freeview, hairdryer, complimentary toiletries, and more.

Each bedroom also now features the exclusive DREAM bed by Jurys Inn, designed to offer unparalleled levels of comfort and ensure the perfect night’s sleep, which is proving a favourite among guests.

The hotel also has a stylish new lobby with a dedicated connectivity area and plenty of space for informal meetings or get togethers. It will also be the first Jurys Inn hotel to trial self-check in allowing guests to check in using new kiosks in reception. Jurys Inn Manchester is looking into additional technology upgrades for the future including online check in and cardless room access using a mobile phone to open the bedroom, creating a seamless stay for busy business guests.

Manchester is almost as well known for its symbol, the worker bee, as it is for being one of the UK’s cultural hubs so to mark the opening, the hotel is not only opening its doors to locals, and workers from near and far, but also to worker bees looking for somewhere to hibernate over the winter.

The ‘Bee Happy Hotel’ is situated on the deck of Jurys Inn Manchester’s brand new Oddsocks Bar & Kitchen and will support the local buzzing population during the cold winter months. It has been designed with consultation from the Manchester and District Beekeepers Association (MDBKA), to help prevent the decline of the Manchester bee population.

Hotel General Manager, Steven Devine noted, “We have been busy bees in recent months and are thrilled to unveil the new look Jurys Inn Manchester complete with a brand new dining experience, Oddsocks Bar & Kitchen and stunning, contemporary bedrooms. However, we didn’t want to forget our local icons – the worker bees.

‘Manchester is a hive of activity and we hope Jurys Inn Manchester will be too. This winter we hope to give the insects a true Mancunian welcome as we open the doors to our Bee Happy Hotel. Guests and locals visiting the hotel will be able to enjoy the installation throughout the colder months.’
