Troon high street pub comes to market

The Smugglers pub in Troon, a coastal town in South Ayrshire, is up for sale through Christie & Co. Smugglers sits on the town’s high street among stores and restaurants, attracting locals and tourist alike.

The 60-cover bar and restaurant holds an excellent reputation among the locals and offers an excellent pub lunch, broadcasts sporting events, and hosts pub quiz and music nights attracting a mixed clientele.

Smugglers has recently been refurbished to an extremely high standard and includes a fully fitted kitchen. The current owner hopes to lease the venue to an experienced publican or restaurateur eager to acquire a fantastic pub with a growing clientele.

Josh Hill, Business Agent at Christie & Co’s Glasgow’s office, who is handling the sale, commented, “Troon is a well known Scottish town, mainly being famous for its Royal Troon Golf Course. The property is ideally located on Portland Street, which attracts large groups of tourists throughout the golf season.”

Chrisite & Co is seeking £65,000 for the leasehold.
