Leon set to launch Xmas menu tomorrow

Leon is launching its Christmas menu tomorrow which includes two festive wraps, a showstopper of a curry, a family favourite soup and a sweet mini mince pie to finish. Plus there's a breakfast muffin that will banish even the harshest of Christmas party hangovers.

The Christmas Wrap is filled with British turkey, ham hock, and pork, sage & onion stuffing balls, all wrapped up with spinach, tarragon mayo and a cranberry and clementine sauce.

The Vegan Christmas Wrap is a nutty roast with sweet potato falafel topped with cranberry & clementine sauce, and a you-won’t-believe-it’s vegan sage & onion mayo, with rocket, toasted pine nuts and crispy onions.

Leon x Gizzi Turkey Curry (pictured) was created by Gizzi Erskine using a traditional Boxing Day family recipe. The warming dish includes British turkey, carrots and parsnips in a creamy curry sauce, spiced with garam masala, cumin and coriander. Topped with a sprinkling of crispy onions.

Mince Pies are £1 with Leon donating 20p from the sale of each one to Save the Children’s Make the World Better with a Sweater campaign. The brandy-spiked mincemeat is studded with cranberries, currants and mixed peel in a crumbly, buttery pastry case.

Leon's co-founder John Vincent is married to newsreader Katie Derham, who has created Katie’s Brussels Sprout & Sweet Onion Soup - a Christmas favourite in the Derham family household and a Leon cookbook classic. The festive Brussels sprouts are sautéed with onions and fresh thyme.

Lastly, Pigs on a Blanket Muffin, which is made from British Cumberland sausage nestled on a bacon blanket with cranberry and clementine sauce and fresh spinach.
