Vapiano to open second Scottish site in Edinburgh

Italian restaurant brand, Vapiano is to open its second Scottish outlet in Edinburgh this month, with further sites planned for the city as well as Glasgow.

The new 8,770 sq ft, 240-cover Vapiano restaurant is situated just off St Andrew Square, and will offer the brand's menu of pasta, pizzas, antipasti and salads.

The Glasgow site, a 300-cover site at 235 Buchanan Street, will open on 29 January, bringing the company's estate to six sites, joining those in London's Soho, Bankside, Great Portland Street and in Manchester.

Established in 2002, German-based Vapiano opened its first restaurant in Hamburg and two years later went global through a franchise concept. Today there are more than 191 Vapianos in 32 countries on 5 continents.
