Argyll & Bute inn comes to market

The newly-refurbished Cothouse Inn, near the seaside town of Dunoon, Argyll and Bute, has come to market through Christie & Co.

Dunoon is a popular tourist destination at the head of Holy Loch and alongside the River Eachaig.

Situated in a prominent trading location, the Cothouse Inn sits adjacent to The Cot House Caravan Park, which boasts 50+ caravans and is central and in close proximity to many other caravan parks in the area, including Hunters Quay Holiday Village, Stratheck Holiday Park, Loch Eck and Invereck Caravan Park, which in total host over 600 caravans and lodges.

The Cotshouse Inn has five bedrooms and boasts an 80-cover restaurant and an external decked marquee area, which can seat 100 and is currently licensed until 10pm.

The restaurant and bedrooms are fitted to a high standard and the marquee is an additional means of income which can accommodate functions, live music entertainment and weddings.

The owner has decided to sell the business to focus on their medical business. The Cothouse Inn presents a great opportunity for a chef owner or a husband and wife team to take advantage of the prominent trading position, experiencing the highest footfall in the area.

Josh Hill, Business Agent at Christie & Co, who is handling the sale, commented, “The Cothouse Inn will appeal to a mixture of buyers including regional multiple operators and chef owner operators due to the prominent location of the business and the multiple income streams available.'
