Sodexo recognised by Bloomberg for gender equality

Sodexo, the world’s largest services company, has been named to Bloomberg’s 2018 Gender-Equality Index (GEI), which measures gender equality across internal company statistics, employee policies, external community support and engagement, and gender-conscious product offerings.

This first sector-neutral Bloomberg GEI follows the release of the Bloomberg Financial Services Gender-Equality Index (BFGEI), in 2017 including 52 financial firms, headquartered in 17 countries and regions. The 2018 GEI expands globally to represent 24 countries and to all sectors.

Rohini Anand, PhD., Sodexo's Senior VP Corporate Responsibility & Global Chief Diversity Officer, said, “We are thrilled to be recognized for our efforts to advance women in workplace. While we are excited about our progress, we recognize that there is more to do and we cannot rest on our laurels.”

Dr. Anand is Co-Chair of Sodexo Women’s International Forum for Talent (SWIFt), a committee of senior executives with the purpose of advocating for gender balance within the organisation.

In 2017, Sodexo made a commitment to have 40% of senior leadership made up of women leaders by 2025. The company has 32% of women in leadership positions currently. The Board of Directors is already balanced.
