The new season opening of Bewdley Museum, in Worcestershire on 3 March, will feature a 19th Century Asian exhibition and an Asian menu at the venue's cafe.
The popular Shambles Cafe will restart the season in keeping with the exhibition by offering Asian dishes, along with regular menu options. The cafe offers snacks, light bites and hot meals, home cooked locally-sourced produce, and homemade cakes and scones.
Throughout the free event, there will be performances by Taiko drummers, demonstrations of classical weaponry, like Samurai swords, and jujutsu skills.
Councillor Juliet Smith Cabinet Member for Culture, Leisure and Community Protection, said, 'I am delighted that the museum will be reopening with a traditional East Asian theme. The collection will give visitors a real authentic flavour of Japanese and Chinese culture and I am sure that the exhibits will prove fascinating.
'From a cultural point of view, Wyre Forest offers a great deal for its residents, and the museum has gone from strength to strength. I am excited about the programme of events planned for 2018 and I am sure that visitors will enjoy everything that the coming season will offer.'
