F45 snaps up two more London sites

Australian fitness franchise F45 Training, represented by Savills, has secured its next London sites in Stratford and Tower Bridge. The deal takes the total number of F45 studios open or due to open this year in London to 32, following recent acquisitions in Paddington, Battersea Park and Farringdon.

The operator was established in Bondi in 2013 and has since opened more than 500 venues across the Asia Pacific region, the Middle East, North America and Europe, making it one of the fastest growing fitness franchises in the world.

In Stratford, F45 will occupy a 2,339 sq ft unit at Here East on a 10-year lease. The Tower Bridge studio will be located within International House at St Katherine’s Dock and total 2,137 sq ft, also occupied on a 10-year lease.

F45 continues to seek single level units of between 1,650 sq ft (153 sq m) and 3,300 sq ft (307 sq m) in high footfall locations close to retail and residential areas as well as transport hubs in Greater London and large UK cities. The chain has a further nine sites open or due to open outside of London this year, including a studio recently secured by Savills at Westgate House in Harrogate.

Social fitness is at the heart of F45’s ethos with a 50,000-strong community of members taking part in highly immersive team based fitness experiences.

Luke Armstrong, global franchise director at F45, commented, “We are very pleased to be continuing our expansion in London, following the rapid growth we’ve experienced around the world. As in all major cities, people are time-poor, but still want to have a great workout with support and encouragement from a fitness professional. This is F45’s point of difference.”

David Bell, head of UK leisure at Savills, added, “We are pleased to be supporting F45’s ambitious expansion plans in London and beyond, with Stratford and Tower Bridge both strong additions. Following remarkable global growth over the last five years, F45 is already proving to be equally successful in the UK.”
