Maxwell’s to open all-day brasserie in Soho this summer

Old Compton Brasserie, an all-day British brasserie from Maxwell’s Restaurant Group, will open on Old Compton Street in Soho this summer, utilising the former Muriel’s Kitchen site.

The 170-cover venue will be open for breakfast, weekend brunch, lunch, dinner and drinks from Monday through to Sunday, offering fresh and seasonal British favourites and a significant number of vegan options.

The space which has been stripped back to expose its original features will have an industrial bohemian feel, with interesting pieces and sculptures sourced from local markets and dealers, along with artwork from local artists.

The restaurant, which is being designed by award winning Grapes Design, will feature a floating mezzanine, outdoor street seating and a large horse-shoe bar which will serve bespoke craft cocktails.

The new venue will take the group’s portfolio to 10 sites in total, which will include Maxwell’s Bar and Grill, Palm Court Brasserie, Boulevard Brasserie, Roadhouse, Joe’s Southern Table and Bar, Tropicana Beach Club, Café de Paris, PJ’s Bar and Grill and Sticky Fingers.
