Award-winning Indian eatery, The Chilli Pickle in Brighton, is to open a second site on the High Street in Guildford, Surrey this July. This is the first step in a planned expansion supported by investment company, Imagine Capital
The Chilli Pickle will open on the site which was formerly home to Jackson & Rye, that closed in March after 15 months in operation. The restaurant is set over two floors and will cater for 125 covers.
Founded in 2008 by Alun and Dawn Sperring (pictured), the brand won Britain's Hottest Curry award in the same year for its oxtail madras, among other awards.
The kitchen creates innovative dishes, pairing authentic Indian condiments and spices with local, seasonal ingredients, such as Tandoori sea bream and Crispy pork belly vindaloo.
