A publican from Mangotsfield in Bristol has opened the doors to his first venture, after the newly refurbished Grapevine Brasserie pub reopened following a £250k joint investment with Ei Publican Partnerships.
The site in St James Place, will be run by Mitch Hoare (pictured right with Chris Skidmore MP) who has invested £50k to part fund a transformational refurbishment which includes a renovated garden area.
The new-look pub now boasts a fully restored interior, including brand new furniture, a custom-made bar, total kitchen refit, interior and exterior redecoration, new signage and upgraded toilets. Thanks to the newly refurbished kitchen, Mitch has been able to introduce an exciting food offer which includes brasserie style dishes such as pan fried sea bass and homemade fish and chips.
Hoare said, “Running a pub is something I have always wanted to do because of my knowledge and experience in the catering industry. The pub is so much more than just somewhere to go for a drink, or a bite to eat, it’s the beating heart of the community and I’m delighted to have been given the opportunity to run The Grapevine.
“Because I’ve grown up in the area I believe I’ve put together an offer that will please everyone in the local community. After careful consideration, and the help of the team at Ei Publican Partnerships, it was clear that we wanted to take the reins of this much-loved pub and turn it into a pub that I’ve always dreamt of running. I’d like to thank local MP Chris Skidmore for lending his support at the launch night and also to everyone else who attended.”
