Parfetts Cash & Carry has announced the acquisition of the Blakemore Wholesale Cash and Carry business, which is based in Middlesbrough.
The purchase takes the number of branches to seven and geographically provides a Cash and Carry and delivered wholesale service, together with the successful Go Local Retail Club formats from the Midlands to the very North of England.
Joint Managing Director, Greg Suszczenia said, “Retailers in Teesside will now join other Parfett’s customers in benefiting from everyday low prices, a powerful three weekly promotional programme, strong availability and expansive range.

Officially, Parfett’s will complete the purchase on Friday 22 June and will commence trading on Monday 25 June. All Blakemore Wholesale Middlesbrough colleagues will transfer to Parfett’s with the purchase, which in turn will secure the livelihoods of 33 people.
