Top pizzeria from Naples opens today in SW1


One of Naples' top pizzerias, 50 Kalò di Ciro Salvo is opening today in London's SW1, just off Trafalgar Square.

Ciro Salvo is bringing 'his idea of Pizza and high hydration dough, his continuous research for the best Campanian produce and raw materials and when possible sourcing from the best supplier available locally.'

The menu includes:
Ripieno Fritto Classico - ricotta soft cheese, provola smoked cheese 'cicoli' cured pork meat, black peppe
50 Kalò (Marinara Con Scarole) - casa marrazzo cherry tomatoes, steamed escarole, garlic, black taggiasca olives, capers
Gialla Con Il Tonno - casa marrazzo yellow cherry tomatoes, mozzarella di bufala, cheese, mediterranean tuna filets, olive oil & lemon marinated runner beans
Carbonara - fior di latte cheese, pancetta dry cured pork cheek, organic egg, parmesan dop 24 months, black pepper
Vegana - sauteed wild mushrooms, pumpkins cream, roasted sweet peppers

And beyond pizzas, there's Frittatina Di Bucatini, an eggless pasta omelette: bucatini, bechamel sauce, provola smoked cheese, cooked ham

The wine is from the Campania region and there is also a range of Italian craft beers, as well as Champagne.
