Last BDL Select hotel sold for around £14.5m

BDL Select Hotels has sold The Langstone Hotel off a guide price of £14.5m through JLL. The hotel was acquired by the Bansal family, the owners of the Lion Quays Hotel and Spa in Shropshire.

The disposal of the Langstone Hotel, sold free of management and branding, represents the final asset in BDL Select Hotels portfolio sold by JLL.

The portfolio comprises six hotels (total 569 bedrooms) located across the UK: Best Western Grosvenor Hotel in Stratford upon Avon, Best Western Marks Tey Hotel in Colchester, Hilton DoubleTree Dundee, The Swan Hotel in Bedford, and Rosslea Hall Hotel, Loch Lomond. All hotels were sold on an individual basis.

Gavin Wright, director Hotels & Hospitality at JLL, said, 'We are thrilled to have completed the final disposal within the BDL Select Portfolio. The Langstone Hotel has an established leisure, conference, wedding and banqueting business and will be an excellent fit for the Bansal family.

'The sale of the portfolio demonstrates the continued high demand for both branded and unbranded regional hotels from domestic and overseas buyers'.
