Mamasons Dirty Ice Cream opens in Chinatown

Shaftesbury has announced that Filipino ice cream parlour, Mamasons Dirty Ice Cream, has officially opened its second site at 32 Newport Court in Chinatown London.

Covering 315 sq ft, the new parlour was designed by an in-house team and features industrial elements throughout with climbing plants, marble tables and pink velour seating. One wall features tropical prints and a neon sign, with the opposite wall showcasing art from Filipino communities.

Mamasons Dirty Ice Cream offer a range of desserts influenced by Eastern flavours, including black coconut and ube (a purple coloured yam), as well as traditional desserts from the Philippines such as Halo Halo.

Commenting on the news, Julia Wilkinson, head of Group Restaurant Strategy at Shaftesbury, said, “It is very exciting to welcome Mamasons Dirty Ice Cream to Chinatown London, and judging by the queue, it’s fantastic to see how popular the launch was and the buzz it has already created in this newly developed part of Chinatown London.”
