New steak & craft ale restaurant opens in York

Cut & Craft, a new restaurant concept, has opened its doors in York, occupying a prominent position on Sampson Square, a historic part of the city centre.

Boasting 142 covers, the restaurant offers affordable and tasty dishes sourced from local Yorkshire producers, focusing on flat iron steaks and craft ales.

Beyond the 10 oz flat iron steak, the menu offers crispy chicken wings and 100% British burgers. For sweet treats there are tarts, brownies and ice creams. As well as craft beers, other beverages include a range of gins, cocktails and wine.

The venue, which has its own in-house master butcher, has been newly renovated to the highest of standards by the Medlock Group.

The highlight of the interior is a distinctive showpiece bar (pictured) in the centre of the main trading area. The interior design pays homage to the city of York, with an array of historical images of the iconic Minster and the surrounding streets.
