Honi Poké partners with ex-Pret head of food to launch new vegan menu

Hawaiian poké brand, Honi Poké has launched a new vegan menu, developed by Nellie Nichols, the former Head of Food at Pret A Manger.

Nichols specialises in consulting for the fast casual and food-to-go sector with clients including M&S, Leon, Wagamama, Vital Ingredient and Starbucks.

Based on current food trends and market analysis, Honi Poké’s new menu introduces three Vegan Bowls for the growing plant-based consumer market. The vegan menu comprises Korean BBQ pulled ‘pork’ made from jackfruit; falafel with pineapple; and avocado and mango.

Other new introductions include mini poké bowls for a smaller bite on-the-go, a daily-changing soup and a trio of Special Bowls featuring teriyaki chicken; sriracha mayo salmon; and chorizo chicken.

The brand, which has two London outlets, is set to launch an innovative calorie counter online, allowing diners to calculate the nutritional values of their poké bowl, including sodium and sugar levels.

Founder Vladimir Martynov commented, “Nellie has helped us evolve our menu to appeal to the ever-growing vegan market, as well as introduced new lines and ideas into the fold. Our menu will continue to innovate and change regularly to stay ahead of the competition”.

Rooted in the passion for serving the best quality and sustainable ingredients, including sashimi grade raw fish and premium Japanese rice, Honi Poké is committed to offering customers an unrivalled choice of quality ingredients within a fast, fresh and healthy food concept.
