£22.5m Village Hotel Club Bristol opens

Village Hotel Club Bristol welcomed its first guests this weekend, as it officially opened its doors following a significant investment of £22.5m.

The sleek black box situated in Filton, just North of Bristol’s city centre is home to 153 stylish rooms, a state-of-the-art gym, the Village Pub and Grill, a Starbucks coffee shop, and the Village Hotels Business Club VWorks – a versatile meeting and events space where guests can enjoy a relaxed co-working space, free super-fast Wi-Fi and order tasty food and drinks.

Designed to enhance every aspect of the guest experience, the hotel is equipped with smart technology throughout. Huge TVs, high power showers and big comfy beds are a standard at Village, while each Club bedroom is fitted with a virtual concierge, the Amazon Alexa and includes free access to Village Gym and the exclusive Business Club VWorks.

The world-class health club Village Gym provides gym goers with cutting-edge equipment from Technogym, and an unbeatable range of over 100 classes a week. These range from classic favourites such as BodyPump and BodyCombat, to innovative classes, like the brands HIIT class BURN, and THE TRIP from Les Mills, an immersive group cycling experience that combines a cinema style screen with the very latest sound and lighting technology; Village Gym Bristol is one of only eight locations in the UK to invest in this class. A 20-metre swimming pool, luxury steam room and sauna offer the perfect way to wind down after a tough training session.

With its simple click-and-book system, Village VWorks takes the stress out of meetings and events. Guests can order tasty food and drinks from the delicious Village Pub and Grill, Starbucks, as well as book on-site meetings via the Village Hotel app. For those who want additional support, there are dedicated event hosts available all day. The space is designed to be flexible, so can be used for anything from intimate meetings to large conferences.

But it’s not all about work. The space can also be hired for a private function, from birthday parties to wedding celebrations, and an extensive events programme offers fantastic tribute nights throughout the year.

Jennie Stewart, the General Manager of Village Hotel Club Bristol, commented, “We are itching to get started, and can’t wait to welcome the community to our Village. The hotel will be thriving hub every day of the week, open to local residents, gym members, the business community and guests for weddings, events and our popular live tribute acts.”

The new hotel in Bristol opens as the hotel and gym chain announced a nationwide campaign, The Village Green, which will see the business roll out a range of charity and community initiatives across its 30 hotels, including in Bristol. Village Bristol is already reaching out to the community to help them find an official charity partner for 2019, as well as any charitable projects which they can pledge time, people and facilities to benefit the local community.
