New Korean concept to launch in EC3

A brand new Korean concept, Unimini, from the team behind fried chicken brand, CheeMC, is launching in The City, via CDG Leisure.

Unimini in Eastcheap, EC3, will specialise in bespoke Korean and Japanese-inspired lunchboxes. Customers will be able to choose either rice or noodles and then a further selection of ingredients to build their own lunchbox.

Other items include kimchee, meat, vegetables and sashimi, with a huge variety of possible combinations.

Lee Wooyung of CheeMC, who also operates Gogo Pocha in Waterloo, said, “This new concept will extend our business to meet the growing demand for good takeaway options in central London. Hungry tourists and workers will be able to eat quickly and for excellent value, all while being able to construct their bento boxes in a way that is completely tailored to them.”

Tom Crosthwaite, CDG Leisure, who acted on behalf of the previous tenant, said, “Unimini will fit well into this area of The City, which is developing rapidly in terms of retail and leisure. With the operator’s expertise in Korean cuisine, the restaurant is guaranteed to be a welcome addition to the lunchtime offer.”
