Hampshire £1.25m Michelin-starred restaurant for sale

The acclaimed JSW restaurant in the Hampshire market town Petersfield has come to market through Fleurets, with a freehold guide price of £1.25m. Alternatively, there may be an opportunity for lower cost entry with a new free of tie lease with terms to be negotiated.

JSW has been owned and operated by chef patron Jake Saul Watkins for 18 years, 15 of which with Michelin Star status.

This Grade II-listed property is a 17th century former coaching inn, and offers well-sized and flexible trade areas, together with four lbedrooms, external courtyard and large car park.

Watkins commented, “After 18 fantastic years I am will be swapping my whites to concentrate on other business interests. It is with a heavy heart that I decided to move on from JSW, mainly because it is still a fantastically profitable business!”

James Davies, Director of Fleurets, added: “Whilst the property is marketed on a freehold basis, with the right partner tenant, our client would also consider granting a new lease. This is a profitable business and a great opportunity with turnover, to 31st December 2017, at £512,000, net of VAT, operating with reduced weekly trading hours.

“This is a fascinating and beautiful building, not only does it possess all the charm of a 17th century coaching inn, but also possesses a well and three tunnels to other buildings, including a former nunnery.”
