Spiritland opens within South Bank


Just opened Spiritland is an all-day restaurant, bar and grill serving seasonal food from early until late, and on the ground floor of South Bank's Royal Festival Hall within the UK’s largest arts centre.

The new 180-cover site, which is also music centred with DJs, and joins sister site, Spiritland King's Cross, which is a cafe during the day, and a bar at night, as well as a radio studio and listening lounge.

The dining room features an open grill and oyster bar, the world’s best bespoke audio equipment and an ever-rotating line-up of performances.

Heading up the kitchen is innovative fusion chef Karl Calvert, AKA Moondog, from The Providores & Tapa Room.

For breakfast plates, there is Grilled ham, fried duck egg & pink fir potato crisps, and Granola, poached quince, pandan coconut yoghurt.

There are sandwiches and salads, like Grilled fuet, guindilla chilli & tetilla cheese sandwich and Burrata, pickled tomato, land cress, sorrel, truffled honey bruschetta sandwich, and Watermelon panzanella, olives, artichoke, radish, goat’s curd salad.

Main dishes include Carrot m’hanncha, spinach, pine nuts, raisin & oregano dressing, and Chicken, parsley and chervil root, pear, shallots, fig vincotto.

To finish, there's Avocado, coconut & kalamarsi mousse, pomegranate, mint, and Urfa chili dulce de leche, passion fruit, meringue, spiced popcorn

For drinks, there's a range of coffee and tea, iced tea, pressed juices and sodas, as well as sake, cocktails, and wine with 110 varieties.
