Draft House collaborates with world-leading brewers for fresh take on beer styles

The Draft House has teamed up with leading world-class breweries Sierra Nevada, Victory Brewing Company and Schneider Weisse for three exclusive Draft House collaborations

The Draft House pub group has teamed up with three leading craft breweries in the US and Germany to collaborate on three limited-edition beers, available exclusively across its fleet of London pubs from today.

The collaborations with Sierra Nevada, Victory Brewing Company and Schneider Weisse offer a fresh take on American Pale Ale, Lager and Wheat Beer respectively. Served exclusively on draft, the beers are available across the entire fleet of Draft House pubs, located across London and the South East, from the 21st January.

The brewing teams collaborated at BrewDog’s state-of-the-art breweries in Ellon Scotland and Columbus Ohio, USA with the aim to further propel the UK’s craft beer scene and inspire a new generation of beer drinkers.

Sierra Nevada, Victory Brewing Company and Schneider Weisse are each known for perfecting a particular beer style and defining the craft beer category. Schneider Weisse is a bold Bavarian brewer famed for its wheat beers and both Sierra Nevada and Victory Brewing Company have led the way for craft beer in the USA and beyond.

The beers are as follows:
Sierra Nevada - American Pale Ale
Carefully crafted by the California brewery’s Head Brewer, Scott Jennings, and BrewDog’s Head of US Production, Tamar Banner, this 5.0% ABV Sierra Nevada American Pale Ale beer delivers a highly aromatic and cleanly bitter palate packed with American hops to create a piney and citrusy aroma.

Victory Brewing Company - Lager
Working with the team at Victory Brewing Company, The Draft House is launching a Czech pilsner packed with varieties of hops that impart earthy and floral aromas for a balanced finish. The 4.5% ABV crisp lager was also brewed with BrewDog’s Tamar Banner at BrewDog’s US brewing facility.

Schneider Weisse - Wheat Beer
Brewed at BrewDog’s world-class HQ Aberdeenshire brewery, The Draft House will be launching a traditional 5.5% ABV Bavarian Wheat beer. The boisterously yeasty beer teamed with esters of clove, banana and a light floral notes was produced by the German brewery’s Head Brewer Hans-Peter and BrewDog’s Global Brewmaster, Jason Pond.

David McDowall, CEO of The Draft House said, “The Draft House has been a key figure in driving forward the UK’s craft beer scene for a number of years now. We’re incredibly proud to have joined forces with three legendary breweries who have done so much to establish craft beer on the world stage.

'Together with Sierra Nevada, Victory and Schneider Weisse, we’ve taken the classics and turned them up to 11. We hope these new beers inspire a new generation of craft beer drinkers in our pubs and beyond. The world of craft is endlessly inspiring, creative and original and it’s our everlasting mission to bring more people into the fold.”

The Draft House pub group was acquired by the independent Scottish craft brewer, BrewDog in March in 2018. The Draft House beer offering remains independent of BrewDog’s bars, but the same celebration for craft beer is found inside.

All 213 members of Draft House staff were given Cicerone training as well as the opportunity to contribute to the development and brew days for this collaborative series of beers. BrewDog also supports any member of the team wishing to apply to the Institute of Brewing and Distilling (IBD) and the Beer Judge Certification Program (BJCP).
