New cafe at Chesterfield Royal Hospital

A new eatery has opened at Chesterfield Royal Hospital replacing the former outdated staff canteen, Relax at the Royal.

The modern, fresh catering offer, named café@theRoyal, serves both Royal patients, visitors and workers, and is open from 8am until 8pm.

The extensive menu currently caters for many dietary requirements, including hot meals, low-fat meals, along with vegetarian and vegan meals. All the food prepared in the kitchens is made fresh, using only the finest ingredients and is sourced locally.

The facility, which is situated next to the NGS Macmillan cancer centre, offers the chance for patients and visitors to enjoy drinks and food in reflective, peaceful surroundings, and for staff to have breaks and meetings somewhere comfortable.

The hospital also offers snax@theroyal, a small cafe serving breakfast baps throughout the day, hot and cold sandwiches and jacket potatoes, and coffee@theroyal, a coffee outlet that serves a mixture of hot and cold drinks and sandwiches, sweets and savoury snacks.
