Social Entertainment Ventures to sink £27m in Puttshack roll-out

Social Entertainment Ventures has secured £27m through Promethean Investment LLP, for the expansion of its modern mini-golf concept, Puttshack.

The company has appointed Joe Vrankin as chief executive to steer the rapid growth plans.

The Puttshack roll-out kicks off with two new UK sites - Intu Lakeside, Kent, and the City of London - in the second half of this year, followed by one every 12 weeks from 2020.

Puttshack uses Trackaball technology - the ball knows who it belongs to, how many times it’s been hit, how far it has moved, how well the user did on their previous visits, and if they're winning.

Puttshack offers a menu designed for sharing, with plenty of indulgent ‘guilty pleasures’ and well crafted healthful meals. The brand also serves up a host of cocktails at the bar.

Social Entertainment Ventures also owns and operates the successful Bounce sites, which offer ping pong tables and a bar and restaurant, as well as Fight Club, the social darts concept.
