Heidi acquires Caracoli coffee shops

The Heidi bakery-coffee shop firm has acquired two Caracoli coffee shop and food stores in Alresford and Haslemere, via Savills, and the ownership of the Caracoli business following a company share sale.

Heidi, as part of the acquisition, has secured 15 Broad Street in Alresford and 27 High Street in Haslemere, the stores will continue to trade as Caracoli.

Heidi has recently made the headlines by producing Harry Redknapp’s jam roly poly and operates out of two bakeries in Windsor and Farnham

Rory Shanks, Director at Heidi, said, “At Heidi we care deeply about the food and coffee we serve and so Caracoli was a natural fit. Acquiring the business allows us to get our made-from-scratch food into more markets, whilst adding a solid brand to our portfolio.

'We’re confident that our new customers will love some of the range we look to introduce - and we’re equally excited to get the famous Caracoli Cookie into Heidi.

“Through the acquisition we’ve also picked up two beautiful buildings in New Alresford and Haslemere, themselves great towns to add to Windsor and Farnham. We can’t wait to meet the locals and regulars over the next few weeks!”

Chris Bickle, director in the licensed leisure team at Savills, commented, “We are delighted to have secured Heidi as the new owners of the Caracoli business.

'Both businesses were built independently and grown organically and under the new management Caracoli will continue to trade as normal. We are pleased to have been involved in ushering in this new era.”

Caracoli was established by Gail Nichols in 2005 with the opening of the Alresford store near Winchester.

Heidi has two branded bakery-coffee shops in Windsor and Farnham, as well as an online bakery and catering business.
