£675k award-winning Wiltshire pub for sale

The Three Tuns, an award-winning late 18th-century pub situated in Great Bedwyn, near Marlborough, is for sale via Fleurets, with a price tag of £675k.

The pub won Sawday’s 2018/19 Most Authentic Pub award as well as being an award winner in The Good Food Guide 2019.

Current owners, Ashley and James Wilsey, purchased the pub in 2012; James having previously worked as a chef in both London and the US.

The Wilsey’s commented: 'Great Bedwyn is a wonderful, busy community to live and work in. As the only pub left in the village, we have loved restoring The Three Tuns back into a thriving establishment which serves both the locals and visitors to the area. There is now ample scope to build on this foundation and take the business further with new custodians.'

Chris Irving of Fleurets is marketing the pub and said, “The Three Tuns offers great trading space as well as a lovely beer garden, 3 bedroom owner’s accommodation above the pub and a car park.

'The pub is located in a beautiful setting, with the Kennet & Avon canal passing through the village, which is also adjacent to the Savernake Forest. The village is also very well connected, with Hungerford and the A4 close by as well as having a mainline station, with direct links to Reading, Newbury and Paddington.

The pub is well situated to attract both village and destination food trade and, in addition, has existing planning permission to add a barn, potentially serving as a function facility and, if completed, would add another trade dimension.”
